Music Shares

We wanted to thank all the parents in our primary grades for joining us at Music Shares these past weeks! The benefits of music education are well documented. Early exposure to music promotes collaboration and communication skills, creativity, self-expression, and leadership, and overall improved academic performance. Music is essential if we want to truly offer a world-class and well-rounded education to our students.

We are so fortunate in Irvine that we are able to offer quality music instruction to our students beginning with our youngest students in Transitional Kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. School districts across Orange County have cut back and even eliminated music in the face of budget challenges, and I am grateful that we have a partner in Irvine Public Schools Foundation who has committed to raising the funds to continue this program as part of every student’s educational experience.

Primary Music is funded entirely by parent and community donations to IPSF, and every dollar donated is matched by the City of Irvine, so even a small gift makes a big impact. I encourage you to visit this link  https://ipsf.net/musicmatters/ to make a donation to help keep music alive in Irvine!
