The Irvine Unified School District, in collaboration with the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center/ Irvine Chinese School, is offering an age and developmentally appropriate after-school Mandarin Immersion program for IUSD students in grades K-3.
The program will expand access to world language study by providing an earlier opportunity for heritage and non-heritage speakers of Mandarin to develop listening, speaking and early literacy skills. It will also provide a pathway to bilingualism and biliteracy for students that will continue through their secondary and post-secondary education
After school classes begin February 24 and will run through May 29. Woodbury is proud to be a host school. To register your student or for more information about weekly days and times, visit sccca.org/MIASP or email to miasp@sccca.org.
